My experience of sitting on diets is so great that I can hardly resort to these self-torture methods voluntarily. Not so for one "but": I personally saw the results of a fortnight from sitting on a "Japanese" diet. Just like in the magazine: "before" and "after". Still, it may be the principle of beauty and health, perhaps.

It’s hard to say why the diet is called Japanese - half of the foods recommended for eating are exotic for the Japanese. According to legend, the diet was developed by specialists of the Japanese clinic "Yaeks", but no other trace of this office was found on the English-speaking Internet.

Sentimental digression lyyrically

I have to say I appreciate the courage of those who are able to feel the weight loss recipe found on the net and try it for themselves immediately. I find myself mindful of diets. Life has brought me together with them twice.

For the first time - in severe form, when I contracted a stomach infection of some kind in the mountains, and for three weeks at an altitude of 3000 meters, I could not eat: not everything immediately wanted to come back. It was the second time I decided to limit my diet to 1000 calories a day. For almost a month, my diet consisted of morning coffee with ice cream, handy for lunch, and frozen vegetables for dinner. I learned that the diet should be balanced much later.

So the first question I asked was: How balanced is the Japanese diet? "More or less, but not enough amino acids, " replied a biochemist 's friend, "you will be spiteful - horror with a gun". His fears about my higher hypothetical ugliness did not come. For the first two days, the body was suppressed when normal food suddenly disappeared from its life. And when he realized that this was for a long time, but not forever, he became quiet and uninterested.

Charm and disappointment

As with every experiment on myself, I have gathered a list of charms and disappointments. Or rather, the inconvenience and enjoyment of the diet.

Inequality # 1

The diet is strict. Because, according to its authors, it is designed to change the metabolism. Therefore, the slightest deviation from the course (even crouton, even apple) is not made - and the expected effect is not guaranteed. And this is what is expected: separation by 5 - 8 kilograms and future weight stabilization.

Inequality # 2

It is very difficult to come to a business lunch and please ask me in abundance, two hard boiled eggs and 200 grams of grated carrots. Such requests are usually not complied with. Therefore, you will need to carry all the provisions with you in your wallet. And, most likely, prepare diet meals the day before.

Pleasant number 1

13 days on a Japanese diet will cost you about 2 times less than a daily business lunch or lunch at work. And even more - buying food for the home.

Pleasant number 2

Generally, it is best not to start a strict diet if half of the foods in it are unpleasant for you. And since I eat with great enthusiasm in "ordinary life" and fish, and boiled beef, and carrots, and kefir, and cabbage, then I was glad to see them on my table.

Many people ask questions about drinking coffee every morning - isn't it harmful? If you have heart problems or high blood pressure, then coffee can have side effects. And before you start a Japanese diet, it is worth consulting your doctor.

Full range of perceptions

In the first two days of the diet, I was struck by a sight: as soon as I closed my eyes, a thin pancake was baked in front of my inner eye, rolling into a tube spontaneously. Then someone dipped it into strawberry jam and brought it in front of me. There were no olfactory hallucinations. After pursuing me for two days, the pancake fell behind.

Stone indifference and a calm attitude towards the fun of cooking, which has survived to this day. That doesn’t mean I will vehemently refuse if I am offered to try something tasty. But the nervous tremor is not noticed for the fact that "there is so much food over there".

I haven't thrown out so much - only 4 kilograms, but the weight isn't going back. I do not know who to thank for this: the developers of the Japanese diet or myself - for doing sports twice a week. The only detail: during the diet, you weaken significantly, and towards the end it becomes a problem to open an unopened bottle of mineral water. But then strength is quickly restored.
